You may have seen old pallet wood being repurposed and used as decor, but may not know how to do this yourself. You can make modern decor yourself using old pallets. Create a wooden storage crate, a wall hanging or even furniture (if you’re a little more handy) using old pallets. See below for some tips on how to choose the right pallet and how to clean the pallet before use. Get The Right Pallets No two pallets are the same. Some pallets may have been used to carry chemicals or had been treated with chemicals and pesticides, which may not be the type of pallets you want around your home. There are codes located on the pallets to tell you how they were treated. These codes are: DB. This means the pallet has been debarked, has not been treated and is safe to use. HT. HT means heat treated, has not been treated with chemicals and is also safe for use. KD. This type of pallet has been kiln dried, has not been treated and is safe for use. EPAL. This stands for the European Pallet Association Logo, it is heat treated, not treated with chemicals and safe for use. MB. MB stands for Methyl Bromide, which is toxic and not safe for use. Painted Or Colored Pallets. This type of pallet is not safe for use and is highly toxic. Be sure to look for these codes on pallets before handling to ensure they are not toxic. If you cannot find any codes on the pallet, do not use it – you’re better safe than sorry. Clean And Sanitize Pallets are used for a number of things, they could have sat in a clean trailer or store for some time, or they could have been stored outside with bugs and rodents crawling through and making their homes inside the wood. There are a few do’s and don’ts that you should keep in mind about deep cleaning your dentures to recover that all-new look that they once had.  Do soak your dentures overnight to loosen difficult stains. Soaking your dentures in over-the-counter denture cleanser for several hours or overnight can help to break up difficult-to-remove stains, making the stains easier to brush away. It is a good idea to soak your dentures at least a few times a month to keep them looking their best.   Don’t soak dentures in hot or boiling water. Do not be tempted to use hot or boiling water to try to get your dentures clean even though you may assume that hot water must work better to release tough stains.
